The Qatar Meteorology Department (QMD) has announced that Qatar will enter one of the hottest periods of the summer beginning 16 July, with the rise of the Al-Han'ah Star, a seasonal astronomical marker traditionally associated with peak summer heat. The star will remain visible for 13 days and marks the fourth summer star period.

According to QMD, the Al-Han'ah period brings peak daytime temperatures across the country, while humidity levels gradually increase, particularly in coastal areas. Hot, dry winds are also expected to continue into the evening before conditions become calmer overnight.

As humidity rises and winds weaken, residents may also notice a greater chance of mist or light fog developing during the late-night and early morning hours in some areas.

The Al-Han'ah period forms part of the traditional Arab seasonal calendar and is considered one of the defining phases of Qatar's summer climate. Meteorologists advise residents to stay well hydrated, avoid direct sun exposure during the hottest part of the day, and monitor official weather forecasts for updates.

The Qatar Meteorology Department continues to encourage the public to follow its official forecasts and weather advisories throughout the summer season.
