Qatar’s Ministry of Interior has announced support for falcon owners who need to recover birds that have entered restricted industrial areas.
According to the Ministry, the General Directorate of Industrial Security can assist owners of lost falcons by allowing coordinated access to industrial zones accompanied by a security patrol.
The initiative covers areas including Ras Laffan, Mesaieed, Dukhan and Umm Al Houl/Ras Bu Fontas.
Security escort available for falcon recovery
Falcon owners should not attempt to enter restricted industrial areas without coordination.
Instead, they can contact the relevant Industrial Security hotline, after which the authorities can arrange the necessary assistance and security escort to help recover the bird.
The Ministry has also called on relevant parties to cooperate with the authorities and use the designated numbers to avoid potential legal issues associated with unauthorised entry.
Hotline numbers
Falcon owners can contact the following numbers:
- Dukhan: 40141000 / 2364691
- Mesaieed: 40138644 / 2361593
- Umm Al Houl / Ras Bu Fontas: 2364600 / 2364609
- Ras Laffan: 40146555 / 2361555
The Ministry’s notice is intended to make the recovery process safer while maintaining security controls around Qatar’s industrial facilities.
