Qatar Tourism announces packed September 2026 calendar of events

Qatar is set for a busy September with a wide range of entertainment, cultural, sporting, business and technology events scheduled across the country.

Qatar Tourism announced that the September edition of Qatar Calendar will offer residents and visitors a diverse programme of activities, ranging from family entertainment and international sporting competitions to major exhibitions, conferences and cultural experiences.

Entertainment and family experiences

Several entertainment attractions will continue or take place during the month.

The Colorverse experience will continue at the Katara South Stands, while Doha Festival City will host the Virtuocity Championship 2026.

Fuwairit Kite Beach will also host Fuwairit Break, adding another outdoor and recreational option to the September calendar.

International sporting events in Qatar

September will also feature a number of sporting competitions.

The Summer Fitness Challenge will continue across several venues until September 11.

Qatar Foundation will host the 2026 World University Weightlifting Championships, while the Seasure Phoenix Games Fitness Championship 2026 will take place at Aspire Ladies Gymnasium.

The Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex will also welcome international competition during the month, including Qatar Classic squash action and the Asian U14 Tennis Championship, which runs from September 28 to October 3.

Suhail returns to Katara

One of the month's major exhibitions will be Suhail – Katara International Hunting and Falconry Exhibition, returning for its tenth edition.

The exhibition will take place at Katara Cultural Village from September 8 to 12, bringing together exhibitors and enthusiasts from the hunting and falconry sectors.

September's exhibition calendar will also include the Qatar Events Fair 2026 at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre, while the Doha Trade Fair will continue during the month.

New cultural exhibitions and performances

The Museum of Islamic Art will add to the cultural calendar with exhibitions including Uzbekistan: An Ongoing Legacy and Discover Uzbekistan.

The Qatar National Convention Centre will meanwhile host a number of musical and cultural programmes, including a performance by the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra and an event connected to the Qatar-Mexico Year of Culture.

Education City Student Center will also host the annual Forum in Arabic 2026, alongside other live music and cultural activities taking place across Qatar.

Technology and business events

Doha will also host several major gatherings focused on technology, innovation and business.

The Autonomous E-Mobility Forum 2026 and Google Cloud Doha Summit 2026 are scheduled to take place at Qatar National Convention Centre.

The Qatar FinTech Expo 2026 will further add to the month's business and technology programme, bringing attention to developments in financial technology and digital innovation.

Doha Jewellery & Watches Exhibition returns

The month will conclude with one of Qatar's major luxury exhibitions.

The Doha Jewellery & Watches Exhibition 2026 will take place at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre from September 28 to October 3.

With events spanning sport, culture, technology, entertainment and exhibitions, September's programme gives residents and visitors a wide range of options across several of Qatar's major venues.
