A Qatari refereeing crew has been selected to officiate matches at the 27th Arabian Gulf Cup, held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, from Sep. 23 to Oct. 6.
The delegation features international referee Mohammed Al Shammari as main referee, Zahi Al Shammari as first assistant referee, Khalid Ayyad as second assistant referee, and Mishari Al Shammari as Video Assistant Referee (VAR).
The assignment reflects the continued trust in Qatari refereeing competence across regional and international tournaments.
Mohammed Al Shammari recently officiated the Amir Cup final and served as main referee during the 2026 Malaysia Cup final between Johor Darul Ta'zim and Kuching City as part of an all-Qatari refereeing team.
