MoEHE Joins "Drive Your Kids" Campaign, Distributes 6,000 Roses Across 103 Schools

The Ministry of Education and Higher Education has joined the "Drive Your Kids" campaign, launched by the Ministry of Social Development and Family to coincide with the start of the new academic year.

As part of its participation, the Ministry presented 6,000 roses to parents across 103 schools, recognising their efforts to personally take their children to school and highlighting the importance of parental presence in helping children begin their school day in a positive way.

The initiative forms part of cooperation between the two ministries to strengthen the family's role as a key partner in the educational process and encourage practices that bring parents and children closer together while reinforcing feelings of care, security and stability.

The "Drive Your Kids" campaign seeks to encourage parents to become more involved in the everyday lives of their children and turn the daily journey to school into an opportunity for conversation, connection and building trust.

Maryam Abdullah Al Mohannadi, Director of Public Relations and Communication at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, said the campaign goes beyond simply driving children to school and highlights the wider importance of parents being present and involved in their children's lives.

She said this involvement can contribute to children's personal development while strengthening their sense of security, care and belonging.

Al Mohannadi explained that the distribution of 6,000 roses was a symbolic gesture recognising parents who accompanied their children at the start of the school day. She added that the initiative received positive engagement from both parents and schools.

The campaign will continue throughout the academic year through awareness content and interactive activities organised by the Ministry of Social Development and Family in cooperation with participating entities, with the aim of extending its impact and encouraging greater parental involvement in children's educational and personal development.
