MoL warns against fake websites impersonating Moawen platform

Qatar’s Ministry of Labour has warned residents against dealing with unauthorised entities and websites impersonating the Moawen platform for domestic worker recruitment.

The Ministry urged users to ensure they access only the official Moawen website when using recruitment services.

The official platform is:

moawen.mol.gov.qa

What is Moawen?

Moawen is the Ministry of Labour’s digital platform for domestic worker recruitment.

The service connects employers with authorised recruitment agencies operating under the Ministry’s supervision and is intended to provide a regulated channel for recruitment procedures.

Users are advised to verify that they are accessing the correct Ministry website before entering personal information, making payments or proceeding with recruitment arrangements.

How to contact the Ministry

The Ministry has provided the following contact details for enquiries and assistance:

Hotline: 16505

Email: info@mol.gov.qa

Location: Ministry of Labour headquarters, Al Huda Tower – 10th Floor

Previous warnings over fake recruitment services

The Ministry has previously warned residents against fraudulent advertisements and unlicensed offices offering domestic worker recruitment services.

In an earlier advisory, it urged people to verify that recruitment agencies are licensed before making payments or signing agreements, warning that misleading advertisements may impersonate legitimate recruitment providers.

Residents are encouraged to use official Ministry channels and approved recruitment agencies when hiring domestic workers.
