Qatar’s Ministry of Public Health has announced a precautionary recall of three specific batches of Arla Foods’ Protein Pudding products sold in the local market due to the potential presence of small glass fragments.
The Ministry said the affected products were manufactured in Denmark and that it is coordinating with the manufacturer, local suppliers and distributors to remove the recalled batches from points of sale.
Which products are affected?
The recall applies only to the following products and batch numbers:
Arla Protein Pudding – Chocolate, 200g
Batch: ES26284003
Expiry date: May 5, 2027
Arla Protein Pudding – Salted Caramel, 200g
Batch: ES26276002
Expiry date: April 30, 2027
Arla Protein Pudding – Hazelnut Latte, 200g
Batch: ES26247001
Expiry date: February 18, 2027
Consumers should check the batch number and expiry date printed on the packaging to determine whether their product is included.
Why have the products been recalled?
The Ministry said the precautionary recall was issued because of the potential presence of small glass fragments in the three specified batches.
Arla Foods has also issued an international recall notice for selected batches sold in Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
The company says the likelihood of glass fragments being present in an individual product is considered very low, but the affected batches are being recalled as a precaution.
What should consumers do?
Arla Foods advises consumers not to eat affected products.
Customers who have one of the recalled batches can dispose of it or return it to the place of purchase.
The Ministry of Public Health is also tracking quantities distributed in Qatar and monitoring the removal of recalled products from sale.
For inquiries or to report an affected product, residents can contact the Government Contact Center on 16000.
The recall applies only to the specified batches and does not cover all Arla Protein Pudding products.
