Qatar has condemned the Iranian attack on Iraq’s Kurdistan Region, describing it as a flagrant violation of Iraq’s sovereignty and a breach of international law.
In a statement issued on Friday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs warned that the attack could have wider consequences for regional stability.
The ministry stressed the importance of preventing further repercussions from what it described as unjustified attacks and called for continued reliance on dialogue and diplomacy.
It also urged further efforts to reduce tensions and strengthen regional and international security.
Qatar reaffirmed its full solidarity with Iraq and the Kurdistan Region and expressed its support for all measures taken to protect their sovereignty and security.
