Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development organized its 2026 Alumni Forum in the United Kingdom, with 65 graduates from Britain and across Europe taking part, as part of its efforts to strengthen communication among its alumni around the world, enable them to benefit from one another's experience, explore new opportunities for cooperation, and maintain their connection to the State of Qatar and the region.
Held in London under the sponsorship of Katara Hospitality, the forum provided a platform for alumni to exchange expertise and experiences, strengthen the bonds between them, and celebrate their shared affiliation with Qatar Foundation and their close ties to the State of Qatar, despite their diverse fields of work and career paths.
Dr. Lolwa Al-Naemi, Director of Strategy and Partnership within Qatar Foundation's Higher Education division, said the Foundation's alumni continue to make a tangible impact through their skills and values, as well as the innovations, leadership expertise, and community contributions they offer inside and outside Qatar, noting that alumni based in the United Kingdom are a prominent example of this impact.
She added that, as leaders and change-makers in fields including education, healthcare, technology, sustainability, and entrepreneurship, Qatar Foundation alumni use the knowledge and capabilities they gained at Education City to make a positive impact in diverse communities around the world, reflecting the quality of education provided by the Foundation and its mission to prepare professionals capable of contributing to development and progress.
Dr. Lolwa Al-Naemi stressed Qatar Foundation's commitment, through the QF Alumni Office and platforms dedicated to alumni communication, to strengthening links between its alumni in the United Kingdom and the Foundation and the State of Qatar, opening new prospects for international cooperation in various fields and contributing to stronger relations between Qatar and the United Kingdom.
For her part, Asmaa Alkuwari, Alumni Engagement Manager within Qatar Foundation's Higher Education division, said the Qatar Foundation UK Alumni Forum reflects the enduring impact of Qatar Foundation on the lives of its alumni and confirms that the bonds formed during their years of study continue and grow after graduation.
She added that the launch of the Qatar Foundation Alumni Chapter for the UK has created new opportunities for cooperation and supported alumni's personal and professional growth, noting that the forum represents an important step in strengthening these connections and consolidating their impact in the years ahead.
The QF Alumni Office continues to support ongoing communication among alumni through various initiatives and platforms, including the London forum, helping strengthen relationships that extend beyond their years of study and opening new avenues for cooperation and the exchange of expertise among alumni around the world.
The achievements of graduates of Qatar Foundation's schools and universities in Qatar and abroad embody the Foundation's vision of investing in quality education, while their academic and professional paths reflect the pivotal role of values- and skills-based quality education in turning aspirations into tangible achievements.
