Qatar Charity Opens Comprehensive Health Center in Jordan's Mafraq Governorate at QR10 Million Cost
Qatar Charity opened a comprehensive health center in the Al-Hamra area of Mafraq Governorate in Jordan, at a total cost of approximately QR10 million, as part of development cooperation and partnership between the State of Qatar and Jordan to support the health sector.
The opening was attended by HE Dr Ibrahim Bdour, Jordan's Minister of Health; HE Sheikh Saud bin Nasser bin Jassim Al-Thani, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan; and Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Kuwari, Chief Executive Officer of Qatar Charity, alongside a number of local officials and dignitaries.
The center was built on a total area of 1,769 square meters and equipped with the latest medical equipment and devices to provide primary and comprehensive healthcare services. It includes emergency and ambulance, radiology, pharmacy and dental laboratory departments, as well as clinics specializing in chronic diseases, maternal and child health, and dentistry, in addition to administrative facilities.
Jordan's Minister of Health said the center represents a qualitative addition to the healthcare system in Mafraq Governorate and will effectively help improve the quality of medical services and expand comprehensive healthcare coverage. He praised Qatar Charity's efforts and support in completing the project.
The Chief Executive Officer of Qatar Charity said the center's opening is part of the organization's strategy to support communities and improve residents' access to essential services. He expressed appreciation to Jordan's Ministry of Health and the relevant authorities for the facilities they provided to complete the project.
The new center is expected to ease pressure on existing healthcare facilities in Mafraq and provide integrated medical services to residents of the governorate and neighboring areas.
