Qatar Stamp and Coin Collectors Center Wins Medals at EGYFILA Stamp Exhibition

The Qatar Stamp and Coin Collectors Center, affiliated with the Ministry of Culture, won valuable international medals during its participation in the EGYFILA stamp exhibition, organized by the Egyptian Philatelic Society in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, from September 17 to 19, with the participation of philatelic societies from Arab countries, as well as stamp collectors and enthusiasts. The exhibition was represented by a number of stamp and coin collectors from the Center.

Qatari entries achieved commendable results and received outstanding evaluations from a group of international judges. The exhibit “Bahrain Postal History” won a Gold medal (G), while “Qatar Postal History from Sheikhdom to State 1930-1963” received a Large Vermeil medal (LV). “The History of Najd and Hejaz Stamps (1925-1926)” also won a Large Vermeil medal (LV), and “The History of Libyan Stamps” received a Vermeil medal (V). “Lebanese Covers Interrupted During World War II” won a Large Vermeil medal (LV).

It is worth noting that the Center aims to support and promote stamp and coin collecting and work to advance it, and to provide its members with the conditions to develop and practice this hobby by all means. It is also keen to participate in international and regional exhibitions held by philatelic societies around the world and in the region.
