Meta launches Meta One subscriptions with expanded AI, creator and business tools

Meta has launched Meta One, a new subscription service bringing together premium features across Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp and Meta AI.

The company says the service is designed for individual users, heavy AI users, content creators and businesses looking for additional features beyond the free versions of its platforms.

Meta stressed that the core experience across Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and Meta AI will continue to be available for free. Paid subscriptions instead provide access to specialised features and higher usage limits for certain AI capabilities.

Instagram Plus, Facebook Plus and WhatsApp Plus

Meta already offers individual subscriptions for its three major social platforms.

The US pricing announced by the company is:

  • WhatsApp Plus: $2.99 per month
  • Instagram Plus: $3.99 per month
  • Facebook Plus: $3.99 per month

Instagram Plus includes additional customisation and interaction features, while Facebook Plus offers features including custom app icons and enhanced reactions.

WhatsApp Plus focuses more heavily on personalisation and organisation, including exclusive themes and icons, special-effect stickers and the ability to pin more chats.

Meta notes that prices and available benefits can vary by country, platform and account.

Meta One adds expanded AI access

For users who rely more heavily on artificial intelligence tools, Meta is offering two broader subscription bundles.

The Core plan, priced from $7.99 per month in the US, includes the features of Instagram Plus, Facebook Plus and WhatsApp Plus alongside increased access to Meta AI tools.

These include more opportunities to create and edit images, generate videos and use AI-powered tools such as Instagram Restyle.

The Premium plan, priced from $19.99 per month, includes the Core features while providing higher levels of AI usage.

Meta AI itself will remain available free for everyday use.

Four subscription levels for creators and businesses

Meta One also introduces four tiers aimed specifically at professional creators and businesses:

Essential – from $14.99 per month

Includes tools designed to establish an online presence, increased access to Meta Business Agent, a verified badge, impersonation protection and a verified WhatsApp Business channel, subject to successful verification.

Advanced – from $49.99 per month

Adds professional publishing tools including Story scheduling, clickable links in organic posts and Reels, exportable analytics and deeper audience insights. Businesses can also give team members account access without sharing passwords and receive increased Meta Business Agent capacity.

Expert – from $149 per month

Offers higher limits and additional professional features for larger operations.

Max – from $499 per month

Provides Meta’s highest levels of feature access and Meta Business Agent capacity for teams operating at scale.

Meta says pricing, benefits and availability can differ depending on the region, app and individual account.

New tools aimed at growing audiences

The professional plans include features aimed at helping businesses and creators attract and manage audiences.

Meta says subscribers can access an enhanced profile showing information such as websites and locations, a more prominent Follow button on Reels and automatic follow invitations for people who interact with their content.

The Advanced tier also adds publishing and analytics features, including the ability to schedule Stories in advance and place clickable links directly in eligible organic posts and Reels.

Meta Business Agent gets a larger role

Meta is also using Meta One to expand access to Meta Business Agent, its AI-powered tool designed to help businesses respond to customers and manage interactions.

Higher-priced business subscriptions provide progressively greater access to the agent, with the Expert and Max tiers aimed at teams that require greater capacity.

Edits and AI glasses coming later

Meta says the subscription ecosystem will continue expanding beyond its main social apps.

The company plans to bring Edits Plus into Meta One, with additional cloud storage and access to an upcoming AI assistant designed to analyse Instagram insights and help generate content ideas.

Meta One is also expected to expand to the company’s AI glasses and other products over time.

Meta says more than 50 subscription features are already being introduced across its apps as it expands the new paid ecosystem globally.
