Qatar Foundation’s AI assistant BOTaina wins five Gold Stevie Awards

Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development has won five gold awards at the 2026 Middle East and North Africa Stevie Awards for its AI-powered digital assistant, Botaina.

The awards recognised Botaina's work in AI innovation, AI strategy and implementation, technology development, and AI and machine-learning innovation.

The programme received more than 1,400 nominations this year. Qatar Foundation said the recognition highlights Botaina's role in providing convenient, multilingual access to information while taking account of local language, culture and context.

Botaina is currently designed to provide users with fast and accurate answers. Qatar Foundation plans to expand its capabilities so it can help users access services, complete registrations and carry out tasks across the foundation's digital platforms.

The foundation said the development reflects its focus on using responsible and effective AI solutions to create more accessible and useful digital experiences for the community.
