Qatar Airways Unveils Onboard Signature Music Created with Hans Zimmer

Qatar Airways has unveiled new onboard signature music created in partnership with world-renowned composer Hans Zimmer. Inspired by Qatar and its culture, the composition introduces a distinctive sound identity to the passenger experience. It also features on Burgundy Symphony, a bespoke five-track album encompassing the airline’s broader sonic identity and signature elements.

The collaboration combines Zimmer’s cinematic storytelling with Qatar Airways’ commitment to memorable travel experiences, creating a recognisable sound shaped by the emotions, moments and memories of travel. The launch was celebrated during Hans Zimmer’s concert in Doha on 6 November, where a specially created film explored the collaboration’s creative process and inspiration alongside a preview of the music. Passengers can experience the composition onboard from 6 November.

Burgundy Symphony captures the rhythm of travel through five original tracks representing different stages of a journey. Dawn opens the album with the anticipation and possibility of leaving everyday routines behind to explore new horizons. Dusk reflects the tranquillity of flying above the clouds as daylight fades beneath a star-filled sky.

The Orchard introduces a restorative pause inspired by moments of calm and reflection amid the pace of everyday life. The composition draws inspiration from the sense of escape offered by ORCHARD, one of Hamad International Airport’s most distinctive passenger experiences.

Homecoming evokes the quiet pleasure of returning home and the lasting ways travel can enrich life. It reflects how the adventure continues after touchdown through memories of places and skies that preserve a sense of wonder. An Ode to Qatar concludes the album with a tribute to the country’s heritage and forward-looking vision, bringing history, culture and ambition together in harmony.

Following its unveiling, Burgundy Symphony is available through the Qatar Airways YouTube channel. The collection allows audiences worldwide to experience Hans Zimmer’s original compositions inspired by the journey of travel and the spirit of Qatar Airways.
