Qatar Charity has launched its 2026–27 “Winter Heroes” campaign, targeting QAR 120 million in donations to provide winter assistance to vulnerable communities in Qatar and abroad.
The campaign is being held under a message highlighting that heroism can take many forms and that everyone can contribute to helping people facing difficult winter conditions.
According to Qatar Charity, the initiative will fund winter assistance and humanitarian projects while also supporting low-income groups inside Qatar.
Which countries are included?
Qatar Charity’s official campaign page currently lists 11 countries:
- Afghanistan
- Bangladesh
- Lebanon
- Pakistan
- Kyrgyzstan
- Somalia
- Kenya
- Djibouti
- Bosnia and Herzegovina
- Albania
- Sudan
The campaign focuses on communities where colder temperatures can place additional pressure on families already facing poverty, displacement or difficult living conditions.
What kind of support will be provided?
Qatar Charity says the campaign is designed to help families meet essential winter needs.
Its official campaign page highlights assistance such as:
- Warm clothing
- Blankets
- Food
- Shelter
- Other essential winter relief items
The aim is to help families cope with colder weather while improving their basic living conditions during the winter months.
Support also planned inside Qatar
The 2026 campaign is not limited to international aid.
Qatar Charity says part of the initiative will also support low-income groups within Qatar, extending the campaign’s reach to vulnerable households locally.
This gives the initiative both a domestic and international dimension, combining winter relief abroad with community support at home.
Why “Winter Heroes”?
The campaign uses the idea of everyday heroism to encourage community participation.
Qatar Charity’s official campaign page describes people facing severe winter hardship — including parents trying to keep their families warm and children living in difficult conditions — while emphasising the role that public support can play.
The official English campaign tagline is “Not All Heroes Live in Movies.”
How to donate
Donations can be made through Qatar Charity’s official website and authorised donation channels.
The campaign page allows donors to choose contribution amounts and support the winter relief initiative directly.
