Qatar To Face Australia In November Friendly Ahead Of Asian Cup 2027

Qatar will face Australia in a friendly at Jassim bin Hamad Stadium on November 13 as part of its preparations for the AFC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2027.

The match will be part of the national team’s preparations for the 19th edition of the continental tournament, which Saudi Arabia will host from January 7 to February 5, 2027.

Qatar, the reigning Asian Cup champion after winning the 2019 and 2023 editions, has been drawn in Group F alongside four-time champions Japan, Thailand and Indonesia.

Before the Asian Cup, Qatar will also compete in the 27th Arabian Gulf Cup, hosted by Saudi Arabia from September 23 to October 6. The team is in Group B with the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Yemen, while Group A features Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Oman and Kuwait.
