Al Sadd Sign Italian Defender Alessio Romagnoli on Three-Year Deal

Al Sadd have officially announced the signing of Italian defender Alessio Romagnoli from Lazio on a three-season contract.

The 31-year-old has signed with the reigning league champions through the summer of 2029.

Romagnoli brings extensive experience from Italian football, having previously played for AC Milan, Roma and Sampdoria.

He was part of the AC Milan side that won the Serie A title in the 2021–2022 season.

Following the completion of his transfer, Romagnoli joined Al Sadd's first-team squad as the club prepares for its domestic league campaign, the AFC Champions League Elite and other competitions this season.

Al Sadd currently lead the Doha Bank Stars League standings with six points after winning their opening two matches.

They are scheduled to face Al Gharafa in the third round of the league on Saturday, September 5.
