Al Sadd, Al Gharafa Eye Victory in Saturday Doha Bank Stars League Clash

Al Sadd and Al Gharafa will meet on Saturday at Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium in the third round of the Doha Bank Stars League, with both teams targeting victory.

Al Sadd coach Razvan Lucescu said his side is prepared for a difficult and competitive encounter and remains determined to secure another win and maintain its momentum in the competition.

Lucescu added that Saturday's league meeting will be entirely different from the sides' most recent encounter in the Qatar Cup.

Al Gharafa coach Pedro Martins also confirmed his team's readiness, saying preparations have continued as normal following their previous match.

He explained that the first two training sessions focused on recovery for players who featured heavily in the previous game, while the rest of the squad continued with regular training.

Martins described the teams' previous meeting as open and evenly balanced, but said Al Gharafa made several defensive mistakes during the final 10 minutes of the first half which Al Sadd capitalised on to score twice.

Al Sadd currently lead the Doha Bank Stars League standings with six points, while Al Gharafa are eighth with three points.
