Jordan’s air defence systems intercepted eight Iranian missiles targeting the Kingdom’s territory early on Thursday, according to the Jordanian Armed Forces.
The interception caused no casualties or material damage, while Royal Engineering Corps teams secured missile debris that fell at several locations.
The armed forces said Jordan’s airspace remains under close surveillance and that any threat will be addressed under the approved rules of engagement.
