Lusail Claim Historic First Doha Bank Stars League Win With 4-0 Victory Over Al Wakrah

Lusail recorded their first-ever Doha Bank Stars League victory with an emphatic 4-0 win over Al Wakrah at Lusail Stadium in Week 3 of the 2026-2027 season.

Hamed Reza Firoozi opened the scoring in the 12th minute before Rodrigo Moreno doubled Lusail's advantage from the penalty spot in the 19th minute.

Farhad Esmaeil then scored in first-half stoppage time to send Lusail into the break with a 3-0 lead before adding his second goal in the 57th minute to complete the victory.

The win marked a historic milestone for Lusail in their first season in Qatar's top flight following promotion as Second Division champions.

Lusail moved to four points from three matches after beginning their campaign with a defeat to Al Rayyan and a 3-3 draw with Al Ahli. Al Wakrah remain on one point and are still searching for their first victory of the season.
